This day was made possible through a generous donation by a local family wishing to remain anonymous, the Wood County Clover Legacy Foundation, and numerous other monetary and in-kind donors! Thank you to these generous donors! The State Bank GIVES truck will have a snack and drink available to you before or after volunteering if you choose. If you pre-registered for bed building or meal packing, feel free to come early or stay after your assigned time and participate in the other service projects. Bed Building Volunteers Set-up Volunteers Please be at the Champion Barn on the fairgrounds to check-in by 12:00 pm. You will need to sign a waiver and then receive instructions on set-up. Bed Building Volunteers Please be at the Champion Barn on the fairgrounds to check-in a half hour before your building time. Bed building will begin at 1:00. You will need to sign a waiver, listen to safety instructions, and then receive your building assignment. Meal Packing Volunteers Set-up Volunteers Please be at the Pratt Livestock Pavilion on the fairgrounds to check-in by 12:45 pm. You will need to sign a waiver at the main check-in of the Pavilion. Then you will be directed to check-in for the meal packing and receive instructions on set-up. There is some heavy lifting involved. Meal Packing Volunteers You will need to check in the at the Pratt Livestock Pavilion on the fairgrounds and sign a waiver at the main check-in of the Pavilion. Then you will be directed to check-in for the meal packing and receive instructions on hand washing and get a hairnet and gloves. 1:30 to 2:30 crew members should check in by 1:15, with meal packing beginning at 1:30. 2:30 to 3:30 crew members should check in by 2:15 with meal packing beginning after the first crew. It will take approximately 1 hour for each crew to pack the 10,000 meals, 20,000 total, that we have agreed to prepare. |
