4-H Project Financial Support

The Wood County Clover Legacy Foundation is proud to support Wood County 4-H youth through the 4-H Project Financial Support Program. We understand that participating in 4-H projects can sometimes pose a financial challenge for families, and our goal is to help reduce those barriers.

This program is designed to ensure that all youth have the opportunity to participate in 4-H and explore their interests, regardless of financial constraints. Families eligible for free or reduced lunch based on USDA Income Guidelines, or those facing unexpected hardships, are encouraged to apply for project support funding on behalf of their child(ren). Please submit a separate application for each child participant.

Up to 5% of milkshake barn profits will go toward project support. Aid is awarded on a first come, first serve basis and at the discretion of the Wood County Clover Legacy Foundation. 4-H project financial support submissions are reviewed by the Clover Legacy 4-H Project Support Committee and awarded using the following tiers:
  • USDA Free lunch qualification: $100
  • USDA Reduced lunch qualification: $50
  • Other hardship: Determined based on need by committee

The 4-H Project Financial Support Program is made possible through the generous contributions from the 4-H Bake Off, the 4-H Milkshake Barn, and general donations made to the 4-H program through the Wood County Clover Legacy Foundation. We would like all applications in by April 15 but understand situations may arise later in the year. Please rest assured that all applications will remain confidential.
